I didn't come across as many great examples as I would have liked, but I do love to stumble upon interesting graffiti, especially when I travel.

pentecoste.

The Pentecost is a Christian holy day commemortating the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples of Jesus Christ, 50 days after Easter.

My hostess, her mother and I attended Catholic mass at the Pantheon and what followed the mass was a beautiful sight.  An abundance of red rose (my favorite) petals were dropped from the dome hole at the top of the Pantheon.  Later, I found out that firefighters are the brave souls that climb to the top and shower the people with love.

Again, please forgive the quality of the video from my old point and shoot camera.

my hip hop is everywhere.

Strolling along the famous shopping street, Via Del Corso, I came upon this group of guys.  My generation invented this and I love that it is still prevalent even here, even now.  Please forgive the video quality from my point and shoot camera.

ah, roma.

I am enjoying Rome as I always do. I have already meandered the streets, returning to some of my favorite places and have already had some lovely meals with friends.

I went to an amazing hat shop called Antica Manifattura Cappelli. The owner Patrizia is a professor at one of the fashion schools here. I was truly salivating over all of the fabulous vintage hat blocks and vintage felts that are almost impossible to find in the world. They just don't make things the way they used to. Alas. Most of the millinery supplies these days are manufactured in China. I took a few photos, but check out the website of this beautiful hat shop. They have some lovely pictures of the work that they do. Hats made by hand the traditional way, is truly becoming a lost art form.
